bread truck 19.5's? scaled at over 26k...
I recently scaled a tad over 26k and dont see it getting lighter easily. I might have an oppurtunity to get bread truck 19.5's, should I?
I run 4 alcoas and two stock wheels now, how much heavier will the 19.5's be or should I even worry about the weight or instead focus on the fact that the 19.5's would be safter even if heavier?
I can get them powered coated red (or black) for $350 and the wheels will be nearly free. I dont know the tire condition yet....but I could get some tires with the money from selling the alcoas.

I have had 19.5s on my truck for about 15k. I like the look and the tires could carry a house. The axles would fail before the tires.
The rubbers for most 19.5s I looked at were in the 80's. My Bridgestone R250 are 82lbs. I am not sure what 19.5 steels rims are but I would guess 50-60 lbs. My alum rims are 35lbs each.

When i worked at a tire shop, dealing with F450/550 trucks were a pain simply because the wheels and tires were so heavy. 150 lbs. each would be ballpark on them. Those were steel rims, running 225/70R19.5 tires. I think they were Load Range G tires. Might look into some brake upgrades while you're at it, since you will be doubling the weight of a 16" alum wheel and tire set.
