brake/abs/check engine light

Hello everyone, newbie here. i have a 2006 dodge ram 3500 quad cab short bed srw, 2wd, 5.9 ctd laramie 2500 miles approx. 2 months old. k&n drop in, otherwise stock. i installed a b&w turn-over ball and firestone ride-rite helper air springs. after i completed the air spring install, i hooked up my 48 ft. gooseneck trailer to check the ride height. not long after, my abs and brake lights came on. i disconnected from my trailer and rechecked the wiring and still the same. i then drove the truck down the road and realized my speedometer and odometer isn't working. i ran the wire from the compressor through the grommet in the floor by the driver's door, under the carpet to an in-line fuse (same wire) through the grommet in the firewall and straight to the battery. i at first attempted to tie in to a orange wire with a pink stripe using a wire splice, but later decided to run a straight wire to the battery. the wire i spliced still had current by use of a test light, but now does not. i took the truck to the dealer and was told the abs sensor was in need of replacing. after 3 trips to the dealer, same problem also cruise control, only some of the functions of the overhead computer works. also the speed actuated door locking stopped working. dealer also refused to give a loaner vehicle. i got home and looked under the dash, and the service man cut the orange/pink wire, twisted the ends together and left it hanging under my dash NAKED no tape, butt connector or anything. i am at a total loss. all fuses appear to be intact and not blown. my cousin who's an electrician suggested i look for hidden in-line fuses, but i have yet to find anything. can anyone help? i sure would appreciate it. thanks, bigg-p

Didn't the dealer look at the codes it was throwing?

abs code

They told me they did. told me it was throwing the abs module code and told me it needed to be replaced. once they replaced it, they told me it wasn't receiving any signal at all. but once they found out that i put airbags on the truck, they were all over that, trying to say because i put on the airbags was the reason the abs module was bad.

Just a heads up from someone who knows. If they are going to deny your warrenty, they have the burden of proof to show that what you installed affected the system they say is affected. There is a law but I cannot remember the name, but it pretty much states that you can add whatever you want to the truck and the dealer must prove this affected the failed system. I am sure someone else here knows what I am talking about. Go back and tell them to fix your brand new truck. If they still hassel you, call Corporate and get them involved. I ended up going to another dealer in town. Good luck, don't take their crap without a fight.

I appreciate it PPAGS. I think its called the Federal Modification Act or something of that nature. I am going to fight them tooth and nail until i get it fixed. i already have pictures of the naked wire and am preparing an email to send to corporate office. Don't worry i won't go down without a fight.
