bought a new htt 62/71/13

so i picked this turbo up yesterday still in the box with the idea of installing it today with a new exhaust manifold.. man was i wrong. when i opened it up at home (2 hour drive) all excited like a little kid on christmas, i cross referenced the number on the tag on the turbo with htt website. low and behold the numbers on the turbo & on the box were different. the box said it was a 62 and the turbo tag says it is a 66, well needless to say i have no use for a 66. i will call the diesel shop in the morning to see if they by chance have the 62 on their shelves, but i won't be too suprised to hear that it will have to be ordered from htt!!! i really wanted to get this install done as i am off to work in the bush on wednesday. this 66 sure looks bad *** though

What the heck???? That's sucks. I'm at least glad to hear that you looked at it closely before installing it and being stuck with that monster....
Let me know when you do get the 62 and tell me how it works on your 07 please..........

, nope. I was thinking a 62/65/13SS from High Tech. NADP has been dropping the ball for lots lately. They have always done me well but are pretty expensive. I get all my stuff on my own nowdays. Seems to work way better that way, no middle man. Are you from BC but working here in Red Deer?

I have been wanting this same turbo (62/71/13ss). Another member on here ordered this same turbo and when he fired the engine up it was making a grinding noise. Htt wouldn't refund him until they checked it out so he had to buy a second turbo. After a long time without hearing from htt they finally called and said nothing was wrong with charger. I have heard a lot of bad things from htt lately. I like their turbos but I'm not sure I would pay more money for their stuff anymore.

It all depends on what dealer you use to get the turbo. No problem with HTT here.
