I bought the 98 CTD 12V - feedback needed
Just bought the 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 12V, 5-speed I posted about on this board earlier.
It has 112,000 miles, new tires/wheels, bedrug, airbags in the rear, 1-ton axles, elec brakes/class 5 hitch. Motor and trans totally stock with the exception of the stronger 5th gear.
I do have a couple things I would like to do but need some sources/feedback from any owners out there.
1. The gas gauge goes to "E" once the fuel level reaches 1/2 tank. Any good sources for sending units, dealer quoted $92?
2. KDP, where is a good source for this?
3. He put on new BFG tires on American Racing Wheels that are larger than stock and as such cause the speedo/odo to give inaccurate readings. Where can I get this recalibrated? Dealer? What is a ball park figure for what I could expect this to cost?
Any other tips, suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

AWESOME TRUCK!!!!
For the KDP www.tstproducts.com complete kit with great instructions.
Get some gauges, a 3K GSK, and a fuel plate.
GSK will let it fuel hard to 3200 or so RPM, fuel plate changes the fuel delivery curve.
I'd also adjust the valves, and bumo the timing up a little. That will help ecomemy and top end power with a slight (barely noticable) penalty at the low end.
