bosch rv 275 injectors
i have recently asked this question as part of another thread and it went unnoticed so i am asking in here with hopes of better results. my injectors are bad. i am looking into rv 275's for my 2000 isb and i am trying to figure out what may be a good price. i have looked at all of the dtr vendors and as far across the web that i could for a price already. i am looking for genuine bosch brand. my major problem is that i have found a price difference of like $130. between vendors and i am really confused as to how there could be a difference of so much money on the same exact product? it makes me feel as if some people may be selling "used" parts or "knock-offs". i am specifically asking them if they are brand new and bosch brand and they are saying yes. is there something that i dont know or that i am missing? please help if you can- i am holding off on the purchase until i concrete an answer and i really need new injectors before i cause damage- so i am told. also, i had a vendor state that i can simply fool the computer after the injector install from reading an overboost and defueling under load by adjusting the wastegate. can i do that? will that eliminate my new power gain from the larger injectors (all else is stock on truck). another vendor states that i need a simple ($70.) plug in boost fooler. which way is best - or, is either ok to do? i have limited knowledge on this subject so any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance.

The average price I've seen is around $300 for a set of new Bosch injectors. Most boxes have boost fooler. Check out Edge EZ, Edge Comp or Marco's ECM reflash. You can search using the Google search feature at the bottom of the page, just way too much info for me to type.

You can get some inexspensive plug-in boost foolers without having to run a fueling box......you will also have to use a boost elbow or keep the wastegate closed by not letting boost pressure get to it or by mechanically keeping it shut. Either way, a boost fooler AND a wastegate mod of some sort will be required to use 275's to their potential.

I have been looking for these myself and one of the differences I have found is that some vendors use new cores instead of trade ins and some vendors also test them and match them up in sets instead of just sending you six untested injectors that may or may not be compatible with each other.

Just because one vendor has a better price than one another does not mean that they will not back the sale up afterwards.
RV275's are tested from Bosch when assembled. The same way your OEM injectors were before they were installed into your ISB.
If there good enough for Cummins, they're good enough for me.
I am not a "vendor" but I have made many internet transactions, my motto is keep prices as low as possible!! And I still manage to take care of the customer afterwards.
You can't hit a homerun on profits with every sale, but some vendors try to.

Don't mean to sound stupid, but I haven't heard of just a boost fooler? I wanted to do the turnbuckle but didn't since it wont help without some kind of boost fooler. How much more power can be had by running just a Boost fooler? I'm trying to hold out for a MAD ECM but I still wanna play while I wait.
