Boost took me about 15 minutes to install, it's the pyro that was a little more time consuming since I had to drill the exhaust manifold. Here's a pic of where my boost is tied in at. There was a small square head plug in the hole I removed to install the nipple.

Personally I went to the hardware store, pulled the plug and got a compression fitting that had the same thread and took the same size capillary tube as my gauge. Cost like $1.25, I only have a 3 month window to order and have FedEx or UPS deliver then our hill is ice and they won't chain up to come up here.

Instructions for pre '98 12 valves don't apply to a 2000, the plug is in a different place and totally different.
No need to buy a boost bolt unless you like to spend money
On the 24 Valve the boost pressure port is a 3/4 inch pipe plug requiring a 1/2 inch square drive ratchet extension for removal and is located on the side of the intake rearward of the fuel filter bracket.
You can't miss it and it's actually easier to get at than on a 12 valve.
You will need a 3/4" X 1/8" reducer from the hardware store unless your gauge came with one.
