That's it. It will allow the 22-26 stock psi to go to ~ 34psi.

Can't they be used on after market turbos? I have a SuperB, and a guy from ebay (who sells them) said it help out. I never bought it though.

I highly doubt it. I don't trust a lot of those e-bay guys that claim this works and that works on these trucks and those trucks. I'm sure a lot of people have been disappointed.

If you're ever in question, call the manufacturer.

Most aftermarkets are already set up to make max boost for that given brand, adding one of these won't help.

No kidding. Anything to make a buck. Once I have my boost gauge, I'll know what my numbers are.

Despite all the tinkering-- I've got the boost elbow, and it is completely closed. Got a quad boost fooler. Have Smarty Beta 4.4 loaded. Still don't ever see over 25 psi.

Measured by mechanical Auto Meter gauge at the intake horn. Oh well...

I thought the Smarty had a built in boost fooler?

Try pulling the boost fooler out and see what happens, I have pretty much the same set up and I get 34-36 psi out of mine.

I see 34psi under load.
Towing 10-11k on a 6-8% grade
60-65mph in 3rd (48re)
EGTs = 1200* pre-turbo

Other wise, it reads less than 25 psi. Generally around 10 psi on cruise control running empty.

I thought on the 03-04's that all the boost elbow did was increase egt's and that the extra amount of boost wasn't benificial it just blew hotter air.
