Just my luck, I just got my truck out of the shop because at 35,600 miles the A/C went out! Which was good luck it happened 400 miles short of warranty.

But.... A couple days ago I noticed I have some pretty bad rust on some body seems and I now have 36,800 miles .


What's the warranty like for body fit and finish? Does it cover me longer than the regular 36,000/36 month?

Look in your manual, but I believe it is at least 5 yrs. Mileage doesn't matter.

anyone look in their manual? i couldn't find anything on it. i'm having rust issues on my 04 with 146,000 miles on it.

I believe any rust warranty covers rust through, not surface rust. I know I've had a few spots that I've fixed myself that were from gravel road rash.

Old thread but body warranty is 5 yrs 100k miles

Dealer will fix it, missed mine by 3k miles they told me to F off even though I brought it to a dealer at 96k who went out of business a week later, Went to anouther dealer at 103k and got the shaft.

So I hope anyone under 100k and 5yrs sticks it to them!!!!

Funny the rust didn't spread. I hit it with a kitchen sponge and wd40 if I recall correctly. It was in the bed along the seams up front. No biggie it has since been scratched away as it is a work truck now.


Truck is 5 years 2 months old with 102K miles on it .
