just wondering if someone could instruct me on changing my blower motor..... a local garage wants like 300 buck in labor to do it and i refuse to pay lol..... the symptoms are only a low speed on the fan no matter what setting i have the fan on... and also my selector switch isnt working it doesnt matter if its on panel floor or defrost the air come out of the defroster only....thanks

Its relatively simple. Under the dash on the passengers side, there is a plastic motor housing (cylinder shape) with a rubber tube connected to it, on the lower portion. The tube slides out easily. The switch wires are attached in this location as well. They are held in place to keep the wires out of the way and you slide them up to free them and then disconnect them. There are three screws that hold the housing in place. Remove these screws and the housing will drop along with the motor and the basket. Simply remove the basket, and reinstall it to the new motor. Put the motor and basket back into the housing and replace the three screws. Then reconnect your switch and replace the rubber hose. You may be consider trying the motor by connecting the wires before installation, but be careful to hold on to it if the basket is attached, a lot of centrifugal force is produced LOL!..

I had somewhat of a similar problem with my “01” 2500 when I bought it. The selector wouldn’t change but the cruse control also wouldn’t work. I found the vacuum line where it connects to the engine had come loose. After I reconnected the hose everything worked fine. You might check your vacuum line. Good luck, Carol
