Ok i have searched and searched this forum for answers and found hundreds. I am going to make the manometer as soon as i get a chance but for now i just thought i would get som opinion. I have a 96 with 278k on it. It has had some minor mods since 206k i have been runnning Rotella for as long as i have owned the truck. It runs exellent but has some blow by. Nothing very bad just a minor steady stream coming out if the tube. Just for giggles earlier i laid underneath the truck at an idle and blocked off the vent tube, after about 40 sec it started to send some oil out of the dipstick seem like quite a bit. It sprinkled the fender and dripped about 3 or 4 quarter size puddles underneath it. It still has stock charger, vacum pump ect. And if i go for a long haul it will sprinkle the tailgate aswell if i stay above 2200 or so for very long. It doesnt use much oil at all. I guess my question is now that i have it down redoing interior and body should i rebuild or not. TIA!

If it's running fine and not using more than a couple quarts of oil between changes I wouldn't mess with it.
