this is a bit of a spin off of the other topic i have but the answer to my problem seems to be to bleed the brakes. All is going well, except for one problem. The front passenger bleeding screw wont open. The socket ended up stripping it, and the vice wont hold either. tried a lil wd40 but no luck. Any tips on getting these out?

An easy out should fit in the bleed hole. You may have to drill the hole larger.
george

There are a couple of different sorts of easy out tools. The most common is like a drill bit with a reverse screw. As you turn it into the hole, the screw(bleeder) comes out. The other type is like a drill bit with ridges: tap it into the hole and then use its head to turn out the bleeder.
Good Luck,
george

If bleeder did not break off you may want to try PB BLASTER it is a penetrating catalyst frees up bolts like you would not believe. I had a 79 Z28 at one time and was removing exhaust manifolds that had never been removed sprayed with PB night before and every one came out without shearing off! This product impressed me and I always have on a can on hand.

Never use anything but a six point socket or wrench on a bleeder. You probably stripped it with a 12 point socket. A six point will generally twist off the bleeder before stripping it.

Hey everyone, couldnt find that pb blaster, checked Wal-mart Napa Advanced auto and FLeet farm, none. but I mixed 2, i had wd40 let that soak all day, then bought a low temp torch and warmed it up and it came right out. Needless to say my breaks work GREAT. only prob. now htere too stiff. Anyone that has drivin a ford, pry doesnt like the factory brakes, atleast i dont . now mine are like that :( They move about 1/2 inch( pedal) and im slidin to a stop. oh well i can stop! Thanks everyone

If you can't find PB, try Freeall. Carquest usually carries it in stock.
