Biting the bullet

As much as i hate to purchase a VP44, i ordered one today, the warm start problem is not getting any better now with winter fuel being used. I am just hoping that the problem will in fact be in the pump, not some electrical problem.

OK , 10 days later and my pump should be here by tommorrow, Purolator sent it from Alberta to Toronto than back to Manitoba, go figure. Now, when i install the pump do I have to get any programming done or should it calibrate and run ok on its own?

Swap out the pump and you'll be fine. No calibration needed.

Did you check for codes before deciding the VP was bad?

Yes numerous times. Nothing major. P0234 Boost pressure, P0500 speed sensor , P01693,??? Just getting hard to start when engine is warm and running winter fuel . I am thinking with the high mileage (500000 Kms...312599 Miles)it is time to change it. I am not sure if it is original or not as I bought it used.
