I know there is one available for the sport because I was going to get one a couple years ago but the one I found does not fit over the existing grill. The old grill needs to be cut out and the billet put in. I never did it, wasn't ready to start cutting on my truck then.

I have not seen that one before. Looks different. But, it will not fit a 2000 Sport.

Didn't mean to send you on a goose chase, but when I read

94-01 Dodge Ram 1500/ 94-02 Ram 2500/3500 pickup truck chrome-plated billet sport grille/grill kit
It seemed to me it would fit a 2000 sport? I guess it's a sport grill and not the sport truck model sorry bout that

Just courious, whats the difference between the sport and regular?

The Sport grill is a lttle taller than the regular grill. Therefore the bumper has a dip along the top the width of the grill to allow for the increase in size. It also has a different latch and reinforcement on the back. If I remember correctly, the Sport's reinforcement is round tube and the regular one is square tube. Other than that there are some cosmetic differences.
