Biggest tires on stock truck

I have a 99 4wd 2500. I need new tires.
I hav ea line on a brand new set of 315's cheap, but i do not want to add a lift or leveling kit.
I can trim the fenders and such if needed, and don't mind rubbing on the control arms.
They would be going on the stock wheels.
If these won't fit, what will fit?
Josh
also, what load range should i look for. I think these 315s are lt and load range D. I will tow a max of 6000lbs (car and trailer)

I don't think you will any problems except for a little rubbing when you make hard turns or hit a bump just right. Like you said, if you don't mind a little rubbing, 315's should be just fine.

The load Range D tires are not what the factory specs recommend. I know a lot of people run load range D, but if the placard says Load Range E and you are involved in an accident and you have Load Range D tires, be careful. Lawyers are everywhere.

i have seen people running 315's on their stock wheels-to me, they look too large a tire for the stock wheel(width). i would recommend looking it up on a tire website to see if they advise a minimum rim width. on my '97, i have a set of q or qr78x16? buckshot mudders mounted on my spare wheels for off- roading fun. these tires measure a true 36''x12.00 '' . i did have to trim the plastic fenderliner behind the tires so that they wouldnt rub--but, they will hit the control arms if you turn full lock. these tires are mounted on an old set of dodge rim s that i believe measure 16x6.75 but my tire sidewall says that i can use down to a 6.50 width rim
