Bigger Injectors Lines?

At what point (fuel wise) do bigger injector lines become necessary?

in reality never, but sometimes good enough just isn't good enough for some folks.

even the most metered fuel in the highest horse B cummins will never exhaust the fuel volume in the injector line.

the high pressure line is (or should be) hydraulically locked between the IP and the injector.

If you can envision this, when the IP plunger compresses a volume of fuel for injecton......its not that particular volume of fuel in the chamber that gets injected into the cylinder on that pump event.......its the volume of fuel thats already at the injector that gets injected......as the plunger pushes on the fuel in the chamber the result is felt at the injector tip.........Pascals law, very basic hydraulic principles.

but like I said........... sometimes good enough just isn't good enough

the transfer side of the fuel system is high flow low pressure, the injection side of the fuel system is high pressure low flow.
