Anyone running these adapters?

They are priced right but I'm looking for someone that has run them and is satisfied with them.

I scored 6 aluminum wheels cheap so I'm going to put my setup together myself, it looks like I'm going to be able to get everything on the truck for $3000-$3500 w/ the Sumitomo traction tires.

What's the price of those ? I am in the process of gettin my chit together as we speak. I have another brand of adapters and my two steel inners sitting waitin for the aluminums and the rubbers. Just lookin for some cheap aluminums.

If those are aluminum [they look like it] I would be a little skeptical. All of the bigger names in adaptors seem to be using steel in their assemblies. Perhaps it is over-kill, but it makes me feel safer! I got mine from TAW manufacturing [chromewheel.com] There is a lot of good info on their site, tons of pics too.

Don't get the adapters if they are aluminum!!
I Run 6 aluminum wheels to and I would recomend putting on longer studs right away. With the standard stud the nut is not on all the way Longer studs are cheap and easy to do!!!
I have the Sumitomo traction tires and wish I would have gone with the michelians. The Sumitomo are a good tire but when you drive a lot of gravel like I do those lugs can throw some big rocks.

There was a guy selling a 5 month old set of 22.5 accuride wheels (4 aluminum 2 steel) with adapters and caps and freestar tires for $3000. Is that a good deal?

Performance

Most people are running the American Force adaptors. Like RAMRODD said, stay away from aluminum. I got my setup from www.duallywheels4u.com for $3750. Everything was brand new (4 Alcoa wheels, 2 Accuride steel wheels, 6 Sumitomo tires, 4 American Force adaptors, center caps, and lug covers). Just an example to compare pricing to.

The adapters are steel and if you buy them off ebay they are $599 and $100 shipping. So the price is right.

hey not 4show there was a guy selling a full set wheels tires &adabtors for 3000 on tdr1 site that was about two months ago good luck

Probably the same guy. I saw it in the DTR classifieds in Nov. He still had them in mid January.
