I just got the new diesel world in today and seen that banks had a intake manifold for the common rails out. Has anyone tried one of these and is there any dyno sheets from before and after install.

banks has had an intake manifold out for years, the high ram. i'm not sure what the 'big hoss' is, but i'm pretty sure it's not an intake manifold.

It takes place of the existing manifold and the cover and looks like is has several ports for water/meth or nitrous.

you sure you are not getting the name confused with their big hoss bundle?

but '05 supersomker said there is a new one, with ports for water/meth and nitrous. i have the high ram, and there are no ports- unless he is looking at a high ram and confusing the mounting holes for ports.

It might be the one that replaces the existing manifold that is cast with the head. the original casting has to be milled or cut off and the new one bolts to the head. I read a while back that Banks was going to start selling it. It would eliminate the air horn completely.

I seen a new complete intake manifold at the sema show from banks, it was in a glass cases, so it could be touched, helded, etc, but what i could see it bolts onto the head. Where the intake horn bolts on, the whole plate comes off, opens up the cylinder head, then the intake manifold bolts on, looks like lots of work to install, remove all the stuff on the left upper part of the engine to install. They didnt have it in there main booth, but in the new product hallway with lots of the other dealers. It is similar looking to the one in the pics somebody posted.

that does look cool. i wonder what kind of gains you can expect with it and how hard to install-it definitely looks like it might be just a little bit harder than my high ram.
