I'm wondering if they transposed the first and last letters in the last word when they translated?..

I don't know, for $8,000....... If it had a decent enough warranty, I would consider replacing my current ghetto cruiser.

Ecspically if fuel trends are going to stay the way they have been lately, all these people who bought TDI's last year are looking smarter and smarter.

Nope, you're wrong. I looked it up and it's Chinese for "Diesel Chevy Avalanche"

The "optional" turbo only adds 12hp? Thats not right!

They need to talk to some of the people here to get that fixed.

It's only questionable quality to us because we don't have any experience with it. Maybe it's good, maybe not. I hope it's great and we can start seeing them here.

In China Dodge trucks are called Road Wonder Sheep Heads.

It's really not a good idea to judge it poorly just because it's Chinese. So many Chinese products are so cheaply built that we see here, but not the stuff they have there. I've found China to be a highly industrialized place, just like here. And many of their products are very well made. Diesel engines in China are everywhere. Industrial equipment gets used to it's max and beyond. Taxis, busses, tractors and other equipment gets an amazing amount of use and hours. The Chinese are very aware of the need for quality and are not willing to buy junk.

That truck looks like a Chevy knockoff and may be built just for export. It also will have the US polution controls, so who knows. And as far as the turbo only adding 12 HP, OK, so what? They are not in a HP race like here. Vehicles are driven differently. On the highway there is high speed and you'll see a Buick or Mercedes go flying by, but on secondary roads you never now what you'll see and speed is not a good idea. In the city their traffic makes ours look tame.

While in China I ride in some of the GM vehicles built near Shanghai, under the Buick label. I do have to say the quality in the GM vehicles are pretty good. Better than I would have thought.

Think they can pay for all the new DPF technology and keep the price down to 8 grand... And still keep it reliable without cutting corners?
