BFG 285s or 295s?

My 99 2500 4x4 has the camper springs on it. Truck came with 245/75/16 Mich. I have the chrome steel wheels. The truck has always looked like the tires were way too small. I want as big a tire as I can fit without changing my suspension. What do you suggest?

Thanks!

I'm running 295/70-17s which are basically a 33" tire. They fill the wheel wells nicely. No leveling kit on the truck and stock suspension. Pictures are in gallery.

Nice truck! I guess I'm leaning towards the 295s! I don't want to do this but once. Thanks!

I've got 295's on my 01 gas job. BFG All Terrain. Mine has the aluminum wheels, which I believe are wider than the steel wheels.

essentially, most 33" tires will fit and not rub up front.

I think you have 7" wheels so I would go with 285's. Best mileage I even got was with Michelin XCA's in 285's...because they go up to 60 or 65 psi on rated inflation. Filled the wheel wells nicely...until I added the 2" front lift... than looked as small as stock use to. I miss them.... rode smoother than what I have now.

Good friend, 'Crobtex', has 99 with chrome factory steels and 285/75/16's. Looks just right!
