Cool

That`s the same mpg I`m getting....a Smarty isn`t going to be the miracle cure , you`ll likely get more power , and end up with a heavier rt. foot.....there`s always going to be someone claiming to get 20+ mpg , but I don`t see how we can gripe about 14mpg with a lifted truck on 37s

Even if you bought something that got you 1-2 mpg , you would have to do a LOT of driving to ever re-coupe your investment.

Truck in my sig will get 20 mpg, maybe a pinch more. I just drove from Birmingham to Kansas City, Missouri the week before last and got into Grandview before I needed fuel. That's in the KC metro area. I'm stock except for the Smarty, Air Raid Jr. and a TAG.

I'll get 20 to 20.5 with a light foot on the interstate. If I was running 37's I bet I'd be close to where you are for combined mileage and I have a Smarty. 37's have a lot of rolling mass to contend with.

Wow, you're a big help!

I don't think 14 mpg with a 6 inch lift and 37's is too bad, I really can't figure people's claims at 20 mpg or more, unless they're driving empty on flat roads. I got over 20 miles per CND gallon a few times but that was when it was bone stock and our gallon is bigger than yours, I think that works out to 17-18 per US gallon.

Nothing to figure out here. The truck's in my sig, I listed the mods in the previous post. It was pretty hilly for the first part of my trip and my truck weighs 8500 lbs.

I think you are probably inline with what you should be getting as well. As far as mileage claims; take them with a grain of salt. I say that not because I think folks are BS'ing us, I say it because there are WAY TOO many factors involved when comparing. A while back a friend of mine was always getting over 20mpg and one day I said, let me drive as we were going on a decent road trip together. I drove it exactly as if it was mine. Well I ended up only getting right at 18mpg. Still not bad but 2mpg different and I am sure it was mostly the different driving styles.

Easier is always better for mileage. I'm still running the stock exhaust.....for 2000 more miles.

The best mileage I ever got, hand calculated, GPS verified, was 22.1 mpg. This was with only Smarty, intake, and muffler delete. The trick was that I drove 60 mph to work every day and I didn't make any extra trips.

I get 20.4 mpg hand calculated if I'm really light footed and not too much traffic to and from work. The best I saw on my truck was with the BFG MT's on I saw 21.6 consistantly. I dropped about 1 MPG when I went with the TOYOS in 35"
