Best turbo for my set up- 2001 auto

I was wondering if anyone has sort of the same set up that I have but with a turbo upgrade or if someone knows the best turbo upgrade to go with without busting my wallet. I was thinking of a s300g, that way I could later go with a twin set up. Right now I am just looking for a single but not to go over 40psi. my hy35 is at 35psi

It all depends on fueling, intended use, effective gear ratio, ect.

Most likely something with a 12cm housing with the auto will work well. Any of the major top turbos will allow you to build a set of twins around it. The S300 seems to a popular top turbo, but now we are seeing more Garretts as well as the old HX35/40s.

If you just need some temporary relief, a stock HX35-12 will help a bit and is a bolt in.

Again, depends on what you want, how much you want to spend and th time fame of any additional power mods.

I've got the High Tech 62/14 and I absolutely love it! Hopefully if I get around to twins some day, it also works good as a top.

I've had the same 35-40 on three different trucks for the last 7 years. I'm not brutel to one but not nice to it either. The current 02 has a drag comp and 115 horse injectors. I've thought about a s-300 but the 35-40 has been so good to me I hate to give it up. For a decent street turbo at a decent price they can't be beat. When I bought my wheel and housing from htt I'm thinking I gave 185 dollars. They are over 300 now but still a good bang for the buck.
