Best roof sealant for my new camper?

High all. I have a 1 yr. old Okanagan 90W camper that has a rubber roof. What is the best sealant/preservative to treat it? TIA.

Roof issues

1 yr old? I would be calling the manufacturer to get their recommendations so you don't void your warranty.

Nice camper! I want one of those, just don't have the sheckels for it yet.

You can find me out on Whatcom Lake any decent weekend. Give me a shout if you're around.

If it's a Dicor roof, I'd suggest using their products. Costs a little more but less likely to damage the rubber.
Stay away from anything containing petroleum products, regardless of what the label might claim. Using nothing is better than the wrong stuff.

Dicor self leveling roof sealant. I get it for $8 a tube at the rv dealership. Can probably get it cheaper on the internet.

They do not need protectant. Clean and inspect twice a year and use Dicor self leveling caulk for seam maintenance. If it is damaged from say a branch punched a hole then use Eternabond tape to cover.

For sealing an EDPM roof, I'd also go with Dicor self-leveling lap sealant.

As far as cleaning and treatment, they don't need treatment, but I've found that using a rubber roof cleaner and conditioner reduces the amount of chalky residue they give off, and reduces the tendency to leave black streaks on the sides below the gutters.

Dicor makes a pump bottle of cleaner, and of treatment. Fulltimer's Choice makes a cleaner/conditioner for EDPM roof that's a one step deal that is faster and I've had good luck with.

When you clean or treat, make sure you don't let the run off water dry on the siding, and make sure the tow vehicle is well away. I generally hose down the walls to keep them wet, and then wash the walls immediately after cleaning the roof...
