Best place to order oil filters?

Hey guys,
I see where a lot of guys buy their oil filters from Geno's, is that the best place to buy if I order a dozen?

If so, what's the difference between the standard Fleetguard for $8.95, and the Stratapore for $12.95? Filtration obviously, but is it worth it?

My dad and I both have 3rd gen 5.9s. We are just trying to save a buck by splitting a dozen, but the difference b/n the two filters is another 50 bucks.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Personally, I don't use anything but Stratapore. I think Cummins specifies them over the standard on the 3rd gens.

Anyway, I usually also order from Geno's.

BTW, I just called the dealer (Chevy) who honors my "lifetime oil change"(I provide the filter) deal, because since buying my truck they lost their Dodge dealership. He quoted me $6.50 per filter for 12. However, it's a Delco.

The "new" actual Dodge dealer in town sells the Mopar filter, but he wants $16.75 for one and ONLY $14.24 apiece for 12!

How does the Delco rate?

Check WalMart for Mopar filters. The local place by my parents started carrying them and they were $8-$10

might try the Baldwin brand also. I buy them online here:

Also have used Dodge from the local Walmart and Cummins from their local shop.

The stratapore is overall a better filter. That is all I use and I order them from Geno's. I tried local places but they all want the same or more for each one so I just order them and they show up at my door. I also get my fuel filters from Geno's.

I have used the MO-285 Mopar filter bought at O'Rileys for about $10 when I forgot to order my fleetgaurds

www.apartsdepot.com Order four Donaldson ELF7349 oil filters and two Baldwin PF7977 fuel filters. Cost would be around $84 shipped and you will get the best filters for your truck.
