Best Place to get New/reman. Shortblock for 97 12v
Where is the best place to get a new or reman. shortblock for a 94-98 12v???
Cummins wants $6400 for a shortblock and GET THIS $15,000.00 for a longblock.
All i need is the block deck down.
No head, .......... just block, crank, rods, pistons.
What are my options here????

I also have a 97 3500 and I thought I was going to need an engine but fortunatly I do not. Try Jasper rebuilders or go to E-bay I found some long blocks offered by some rebuilders in the $3,000 to $3,500 range. I had Jasper rebuild a transmison on my Yukon and I was very impressed. I do not know the quality of the guys doing the rebuilding on E-bay but might be worth a look.
