The cheapest place is likely your local Cummins shop.

Iwould say cummins but if your truck is still under warrenty i would make dodge replace it for free. they have put two on my truck at no charge. I know some guys don't want them touching their truck, and from some of the stories i have heard i don't blame them. guess we have a really good dealer.

Just go to parts store and get a Black Holley fuel pump and never have to worry about it again you should be able to plumb it right into your fuel lines and leave the old pump still on it will go right through it we have two of them on trucks and work great...

I agree. The last time I got one, it was 164 bucks from Cummins, and I believe about 250-300 from Dodge parts.

your dodge dealers down there must be nuts

250-300 usd = 330=400 canadian

I paid 265 canadian (198 us) at my local dodge dealer ...........

then I heard about the cummins thing so I phoned cummins in saskatoon and they wanted 260 canadian for the pump ???

There is a place here in Suffolk that sells them for about $140 and the dealer across the river wants $348 the last time I checked.

From www.holley.com
Electric Pumps
Holley offers a complete line of electric in-tank and externally-mounted pumps.

Our electric in-tank line offers coverage for the most popular Ford, Chrysler, GM and import applications. Utilizing a proven gerotor design, these pumps are available in either a 190 or 255 liter per hour (lph) flow rate.

Holley externally-mounted electric fuel pumps are also available in various flow ratings. The "red" pump, P/N 12-801, is rated at 97 GPH and it is designed to work with stock or mildly modified engines. Pressure is pre-set to 7 PSI and a regulator is not required. The "blue" pump, P/N 12-802, is rated at 110 GPH and it is designed for street/strip applications. Pressure is pre-set at 14 PSI and a regulator is included as part of the package. Neither pump is compatible with methanol or alcohol fuels nor should they be used with fuel injection systems. The "black" pump, P/N 12-815, is rated at 140 GPH and is designed to work with either gas or alcohol fuels. This one is similar to the "blue" pump but it kicks out more fuel. These pumps all feature a simple, yet rugged, rotor and vane design which has proved itself over the years.

However Holley does not recommend and doesn't warranty their fuel pumps when used with diesel fuel.

Re:Best place to get a lift pump?

Apparantely, NAPA sells a Carter lift pump that is covered by a lifetime warranty. Get one of these and a fuel pressure guage and you shouldnt have to buy another LP again.

I'll post the p/n if I can find it.
