Best place to buy Timbrens?

Well, I finally hooked my trailer up to the new truck and I am amazed at how much the back of the truck drops even with the trailer empty. Very disappointing. So, I decided to pick up some Timbrens because I can just bolt them up and forget about them. I remember reading about a source for these that was much cheaper than everyone else. Anybody know who that was? The best I have found is $179.95 shipped....

Thanks

I bought my DR2500CA(6,000lb springs) timbren kit from truckspring.com. I looked at airbags too but with the added cost of on-board air, timbrens are alot cheaper.

Thanks. You can use the airbags without having an onboard air compressor. I have a 50 gallon air compressor in my garage and also have a portable tank that I could use to fill it. I like the idea of the Timbrens but some guys have reported a much stiffer ride even when empty. I really don't want that. That's why I'm also looking at the bags. There's a guy on e-bay selling the bag setup for $225 shipped. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me....

I installed my timbrens without the spacers. This leaves a 1.25-1.5 inch gap before the timbrens engage and rarely effects the unloaded ride. Installed with the spacers or using the longer 8,600lb springs leaves very little clearance above the rear axle and will cause a rough unloaded ride. If I was running loaded fulltime, I would run the spacers or use longer springs. I believe most of the complaints about timbrens are caused by using the wrong spring for your application or improper installation. The adjustability of air-bags is a plus but you need access to a compressor if you want to make any pressure changes while you are on the road. I like timbrens because they are an install and forget part that only come into play when needed.

If it came down to it,you could add air to the bags with a bicycle pump. The bags don't hold much air at all. With my Pacbrake compressor I can literally put 100psi into the bags in about 2 seconds. They fill really fast even with a little compressor.

Well, I don't tow that much anymore and due to the simplicity of the Timbrens, that's what I went ahead and ordered.

Thanks for the replies....

And to set the record straight on my original post. My trailer was "empty" considering how big it is but I did have a set of wheels and 25 4x4x8 fence posts all the way at the nose. I didn't think it would make much of a difference but when I shifted everything back over the axles the truck sits level again. It still shouldn't sag that much IMO with that bit of stuff in it....
