"Best"/Most affordable radiator ?
Wondering if a radiator needs replaced, what's the best one to replace it with for the most money?
There's a handful on eBay, wondering if some are better than others or need to stay away from, or, somewhere else to get it.
I'd search, but it says that it's disabled right now...
Thanks,
Dave

Eh, most places I called were over $400. Radiator.com had them for $300 shipped, not bad. I found a local private-owned place that has them for $270 in stock, so I'll pick up one of those.

EBAY!!!
Enter
"dodge diesel" in the search function
http://search.ebay.com/dodge-diesel-...fkrZ1QQfromZR8
Scroll down a little and look at the ones that are listed without the pictures also.

Hey, appreciate the link, thanks! I wasn't sure how good the 'ebay' radiators were...I'll have to see how the time comes down...if it takes 2-4 days to get to me, it won't work...kind of a 'need it asap' thing, we'll see how it goes, thank you!

Bought a "inexpensive" radiator of ebay for a friend's gasser 2500. Box had a Japanese name on it, radiator had a "made in Indonesia" sticker on it
It seems to be a decent part, we will see if it holds up.

Radiatorbarn.com has real nice radiators. I used them for my Lexus radiator, and have super fast shipping. Their price for it, beat any ebay price/anyones price.
Heres their link for our radiator. Its way more expensive this time, though. http://www.radiatorbarn.com/s7.asp?a...i+TURBO+DIESEL

I quit using the local "mouse house" for aftermarket rads. Poor fit and I've had to double clamp the hoses as the inlet/outlets were slightly smaller than OEM. That's my experience.

Arizona(?) Radiators
Went cheap when I recently replaced mine since I couldn't justify the Modine price. New radiator is aluminum, unpainted, and 2 rows - supposedly aluminum transfers heat more efficiently. I recently towed the tractor w/bushhog a ways in 95 degree heat with killer humidity, maybe grossing 16-17K pounds. Kept an eye on the temp gauge thinking it would show if the new radiator was not up to the job. No problems seen. Have been caught in traffic on a 98* day with air running maxxed out and have not seen any heat issues so I guess the cheapie radiator is doing the job.
BTW - the original radiator weighed 38 pounds and got me $38.38 at the scrap metal yard. A little return on the $240 something the new one cost.
