Driving through the Cherry Hill mall tonight (for those who know it) I cruised by where many mall shoppers sit and wait for the bus. SOme of the benches that they sit on are hidden behind huge concrete support pillars. Well as I was coming down the lane you see about 20 people peeking around the pillars thinking it was the bus.[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] There were some dissappointed looks tonight. :( [redface] The wife and I were cracking up. This had to have been my favorite look so far.

When I first bought mine, I picked it up on the way to work.

I work 2pm-10pm.

I had actually bought it the day before, but didn't tell anyone I was getting a new truck.

When I came home from work that first day around 11pm, and pulled into the driveway,
the whole family came running outside to see why a firetruck was parked in front of the house.:D

The neighbors accross the street did as well.

I still chuckle when I remember.

Love it....

Man stories like that just make me smile. One of the girls from my church informed me that I had black smoke coming out of my truck...

I laughed and told her I appreciatted the heads up...[laugh]

When wife was in the HP, I got my thrill for the day by driving though the multi level parking garage and setting off the car alarms. I’d park on the top even when I had to pass up open spots.[laugh]

On the way to a Nascar race I was to meet up with several buddies in a mall parking lot.

It was early morning and the lot was dark when I got to my buddies one said,
geez I thought that thing was a garbage truck coming across the lot.

I told him I could see how that would strike fear into his heart since he drives a Ford.[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] ;)

My favorite is to come to a stoplight next to a riceburner with their 12000 watt bazooka tube bass thumping stereo cranked up. Downshift to 1st gear instead of 2nd and wind out the gear on takeoff. It's a hoot to watch them grabbing their window crank and winding the window up as fast as they can.......

When I would drive up to our school's softball field to watch my daughter play, the team all thought that the opposing team was arriving in the bus.:D That Cummins is music to my ears. I love the way John's DTR video ("Fuel") starts, with the Cummins engine cranking up. There's no other diesel that sounds like it.

When I drive mine, I always think of a Duece and a half or 5 ton. Especially since I opened the intake air. The sound of the dmax and sduty's always remind of the week HMMWV's and CUCV's.

LOL, Aint CTD great! I have set off car alarms before also, it took me a while before I realized I was the one doing it. I have had several people tell me they thought I was the UPS man pulling into their driveway.

I've had several people tell me, "You better get that engine looked at. You've got a bad rod knock." :D

What I enjoy is driving through campus at 2000 rpms in 2nd gear while the people on the sidewalks are trying to talk on their cell phones.

My wife was coming back from lunch the other day and the security guard says there's somthing wrong with your truck it's making a loud noise, I was going to buy one of those but not if it's going to sound like that. She replys "it's a diesel" oh he says.:D [laugh] [laugh]

I like pulling up next to someone stopped at a traffic light with the window down trying to talk on the cell phone and just give the accelerator a few taps to get the revs up a little. You seem them rolling up the window real quick. Love that CTD sound! That's what sold my wife on getting the Dodge.

I set one off at work earlier this week. I pulled thru the parking lot and parked in an open parking spot, the dodge gasser next to me started going off:D ( it started crying 'cus the mighty Cummins scared it). i didn't think my "quiet" Cummins would do that:rolleyes: .

There are three that I set off in our works parking garage daily.
Im not sure if its rumble of the Cummins or the bouncing of the concrete floor as I drive past.
Either way, one Audi, one Volvo, and a Honda CRV, everyday.

Maybe I should strait pipe my truck again so there would be no doubt what sets the alarm off! :D

I pulled into a quick stop so the wife could get a pepsi. A young gal sitting in her Mazda miada convertable, on the cell phone gives me a dirty look. Than she has the nerve to say ( can you shut that noisy thing off?) not will you please. So I said to her can't do it it's on a timmer.[laugh] Told the wife about it when she came out we laughed about it half the way home.[laugh] [laugh]

any chance I get I give'r the ol the go pedal and brake... let the clutch out and idle around a bit then use some 'gentle' brake pressure while givin' it some go juice. sounds real nice and will turn heads... :D

I like the timer thing....does my 99 quad dualie come with one too?[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] ...If so where is the button??[roll] [laugh] [laugh]
I haven't had the car alarms go off yet but I'll have to try it at the mall tomorrow:D :D
I put the E brake on lightly for the max knock effect. LOL A guy with an automatic put me on to that.

Here is a debate...which is louder? a 95, a 97, a 99 or 02?

He totally bought it all, until i took it overboard, Im like dude, ( we have bolt down tow hooks in the bed) im like we have a wing attachment that bolts there. Flys kinda like those lil soap box planes. not far not fast but it flys. Hes like no way!. Then when everyone started laughin hel ooked around and goes, Well, what do you really do with them. Between the light smoke and everything he was convinced, Never even asked to see it. Finally we had mercy and explained the world of turbo chargers

I pulled into one of the Dodge dealerships in North Vancouver with my 98.5 dually, right beside a salesman and a customer that were standing outside. I left it idle (loudest at idle!) while I went inside to book an appointment. When I came back outside, the salesman smiled and asked " Hey,what motor you got in that thing?" I couldn't resist saying back to him," A 360 with a couple of bad lifters!"[laugh]...SHEESH!!

I enjoy that too, when at a light with some kid shaking his trunk with one of those bass tubes, i find my self giving it a lil more go juice when the light turns green. the cell phone is another good one, just as my exhaust pipe is even with thier open window, i nail it a little to let them hear that straight pipe:D I know its meen, but i HATE when ppl talk on the phone and drive.

We have a 70 Challenger with a 451 and 3" flowmasters. Was told not to drive the car in the apt complex because too many complaints. I bet they love the new diesel now! still waiting for them to say its too loud. I cant do anything its all stock. (for now) In Scottsdale (a snobish part in phoenix) I couldn't believe all the looks I got at red lights, and the sudden increase of windows rolled up. Also at the mall they have a covered pass through where you stop for valet parking, well I just drive through there, just for the sound effects. :D

Two days in a row the parts guy came out when I parked at work because he thought his UPS delivery was there. That was with a stock exhaust too!

Well I have a new one today. I dropped 14 year old son off at school, and as I am approaching the front door, my boy says, "Dad, all my friends know when you drop me off at school because your exhaust is so loud that the attendance monitor in the school office yells, Cody's here, I can tell it's his dad's truck rattling my windows".[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Anybody been through Phoenix on the 10 towards the airport and pass through the covered area that is totally enclosed. Makes a great sound with a straight pipe.

when I pull up at a drive-thru, and I speak loudly, if they ask me to turn the truck off I say I can't its on a timer, which it isn't, if they say they can't take the order I just leave I shouldn't eat that grease trap crap anyways.
