cant really say which one is best. but i put a fram in once and it reduced my fuel mileage and made my restriction indicator show poor air flow. I immediatly pulled and chucked in the garbage!! I have used the mopar OEM filter a couple of times and have been happy, but have been using the Napa Gold air filter the last several changes and for the price its my fav.

I really like my Amsoil eaa189 filter (I think that's the part number). It's reusable, takes a low pressure air hose to clean, makes the turbo whistle a little louder, and doesn't pull the air restriction gauge down after the first 10 miles like the stock one did...

Amsoil Eaa19 here too. Had it for about 3000 miles now and have tried to pull the filter minder down but it has NOT moved yet. The stock filter would oull down on the first mash of the go pedal. I also drive in a dusty area and the tube out of the filter housing is spotless

I have the amsoil and my minder is down everytime I hit the pedal hard. Other than that I like it....had for 20k now!

Amsoil Ea here. With the stock filter the filter minder would pull down to 50% at WOT, Ea is 30-35% (when both are new). This is with a modified airbox.

On my truck with the Amsoil filter and Modded airbox, I get no movement from the filter minder either. I dont have much else done to it but a BD tuner though.

I have the K&N drop in replacement filter...works awesome HOWEVER I will NOT clean and re-oil it myself...over oiling is a MAJOR problem so When its time to replace I WILL buy another K&N

I ALWAYS have my toenails in the fan (throttle mashed) and it NEVER starves for air...

the oem lasted 500 miles ,this has 22,000 on and still fine

That's why I went with the Amsoil. Even subconciously I think my mind thinks that if a little oil is good, then a little MORE oil is better . I went with the Amsoil so I don't have to think about it. I generally just take it out and blow it out with the (low pressure) compressor hose and put it back in at every oil change - takes like 5 minutes. Like stated above, the intake tube is clean - it even stood up to a white cheescloth test.

Another vote for the K&N - never had a problem and the tube to the engine is always clean - no dust!! The filter minder hasn't moved since the dealership put it in either...

Better watch out. AFE has a dry drop in available. I have the full pro dry system and it works great. Veryvery loud. I don't think it could be any louder with no filter. Give those 6.ohs a run for their money, sound wise thst is.

I use Fleetguard. Doesn't pull down the minder and I replace it every 10,000 miles. P.S. the minder is junk, use performance as an indicator. Loss of performance, put on new filter.

I am happy with my Amsoil EaA189. While I had the filter outl I also drilled about 20-30 3/4" holes in the bottom of the stock air box. The stock filter was pulling the filter minder down to about 40%. It has not moved at all since installing the Amsoil filter and drilling a bunch of holes in the bottom of the air box.
