Bd Vp44
I just ordered a VP44 from BD because mine went out on the highway in the middle of a 5000km trip. My question is if I hook my comp up the the pump cover is there still the same chance that it could fail up the road or they rebuilt to be better than stock?

There are various updates that any of the bosch rebuilders would have done to that pump making it better than one made a couple years ago. If you drive it long enough sooner or later it is going to fail, but I'd say to heck with it and tap it. My last vp44 lasted 100K.

What kind of updates did they make? I just don't want the pump to fail on my next drive with the comp on 5x5, i've heard they will do that right away or last quite awhile, any truth to this?
