Yep I have th BD turbo cooldown timer, I like it a lot! Its nice to just walk away from your truck knowin that it will shut down on its own when it cools down. Not too bad of an installation either. And I have so many people give me looks or ask "aren't you gonna shut off your truck?" when i get out of my truck, take my keys, lock my doors and i just say it will, just wait.

what part of wyoming are ya from?

Oh okay, your a ways away from me then, I'm from southeastern Idaho, in a little town called grace. I'm not really sure what the difference is between them, but if the cool down timer 2 is the same price might as well get it. I just have the regular one. I got mine on a trade and it didn't have instructions so another guy on this forum emailed me some instructions and i printed them off. The one for the 94-02 is the same as our trucks, just gotta tie into your ignition switch, brake pedal and egt gauge. I like it a lot more than i thought it would, especially since i'm always in a hurry or late to stuff, I can just leave my truck instead of having to wait for it to cool down. And $150 is a lot cheaper than a new turbo! Yeah let me know if you have any questions.

no i didn't have the thermocouple kit, I just hooked it into the two egt probe wires, that were coming into the little box for my egt gauge. And as for the brake pedal, there is a switch up behind the pedal (i think its for the brake lights) and you could hook onto that wire, or what i did is hooked into my trailer brake controller wire cuz it was easier to get to and it works. Its hooked into the brake pedal because thats how it shuts it off automatically, like if someone tried to steal your truck, as soon as they hit the brakes, it would kill the motor, or if you need to shut it down for any reason, then just tap the brake pedal and it'll shut off.

yeah it looks like the cooldown timer 2 just has more things it can motor to determine to shut it down, like trans temp and stuff, but not totally sure. No problem, thats what this forum is for.
