Battery Time
Hey Guys, my batteries @ getting pretty weak especially with this cold weather lately, I know one has a short in the battery, & the other one is good but I know you have to replace both at the same time or you will be swapping batteries every 6 months.
Now I was wondering what you guys use for batteries, I am looking around I want something really good, my uncle has a deka battery on his 92 Awesome battery, but it's like 130 bucks each & he only has one so that was ok for him but my truck has 2 so I was looking maybe if you know some off brand name batteries that are made by some good reputable companys? also I heard that sams club sells a battery that's liks an altima?
let me know what you guys have & like & would recommend,
DRecu!

Re:Battery Time
Have seen many postings here about the Optima. Too rich for my blood. I generally use the Walart or Interstate brands. Have pretty good luck with each. On a side note, watch that the low battery does not eat the contacts on your starter. I just had to replace them in mine a couple days ago. When I got them out, the input side was about paper thin. Got the best out of them, but glad I caught it before I smoked something $$$$.

Re:Battery Time
I run mine on a single Optima red top. Until now it worked much better than the stock dual battery setup in cold weather.
Over here a battery with the correct form factor and enough CCAs is more expensive than an Optima, so I just went and tried it.
Just my 2c

Re:Battery Time
I replaced my originals one year ago with the Optima clones from Sam's Club. They cost $100 each, but worth it. Good guarantee, sealed case (no water), will take mucho abuse. Highly reccommended.
