Banks Big Hoss

I worked some overtime and my boss sold me a Banks Big Hoss for $50. Anybody know anything about them? I've installed alot of Edge's,Bullydog's,Supertuner's and Hypertech's but none of these.

I had one on mine, and its now for sale. Its a good reliable chip with a lot of saftey features. What power level is yours and does it tap into the IP wire?

I think it's the "Six Gun" you're thinking of. It's only available for Cummins with the Common Rail. Not us VP'ers. Not that it really matters..........

Went to install it and the map conector on the harness is for a 2001 and my truck is a 2002.Called banks and they told me the box will still work but I need the harness for a 2002($130).I'm thinking of just hard wiring it. I think there is only one wire that needs to be cut and spliced onto the harness. Anyone know wich color wire it is?I won't be back to the shop till Monday to look at a wire diagram and I don't have my multimeter to check them.

Holy wow just order an adapter. Perhaps one of the adapters from a competing vendor for $25 would work? It just has the female 2002 and male 2001.

Banks--still bending people over far after the original sale.

Got it installed, drove it for 30 miles, the check engine light came on and all the gages went down to 0. Unhooked the box and they all came back up except the fuel gage. It still shows Empty. I'm hoping it's not the BCM. I'll check it out today.
