Angry Bang for your BUCK!

5 years later I paid it off and it's making me pay within a month!

Need some opinions about best e-z change-out auto tranny $ for $ and lb. for lb. on my 95.

Try using the SEARCH function. The different tranny vendors have been discussed over and over in the forums. The main ones discussed are ATS, Goerends, Suncoast and DTT. If you use the SEARCH you will probably have too much to read - gets confusing.

Most people like (and swear by) the one they own.

Call the vendors, talk to them, see who you feel comfortble with, who seems to make a product that fits your needs best, and has an installer close, if you don't wanna do it yourself.

Sidewinder forgot HTS. But any of the big 5 could build you a good tranny.

Yep it's confusing, i'll probably base my purchase on a matrix algorithm quality of product versus service.

Goerend's basic tranny is $2950. Then with shipping it will come out to be around $3200 I believe.

I installed a trans and TC from Allstar Automotive in Denver. The guy who built it for me is Fred, he was with ATS. In the last 4 months it's been great. I just let him know I was about 15000# loaded truck and trailer. I also told them what mods I had and estimated power. Fred told me the the trans and TC would handle 1500 ft lbs of torque. I spent $2655.40 after tax. It can easily get more expensive, but call them and determinte what you actually need versues what you think you need. here's their #; 303-477-2838

I added a Goerend TC and VB to my 24v and after 105,000 miles with 350hp had absolutely no problems, I then sold the truck.
It cost me $ 1400 shipped.
