ball and u joints

all right so my steering as sucked for a couple of months now and I decided to bring it down to a friend who owns a garage and he told me and showed me that both ball joints on the passenger side were worn bad (the top ones about to fall out) and the drivers side are also worn also the u joints are worn pretty bad on both sides my question is are there better ones to go with because as I replace anything on this truck I am upgrading it or are they all the same

make sure you get the ones with the grease fittings in them, they'll last longer, and the stock ones suck

I am also going to be replacing my ball joints but the NAPA guy said there are several to choose from, as far as there off-set. Do yall know what he is talking about and which ones I need for top and bottom on both sides?

The NAPA guy can probably get some Moog brand ball joints for you. I've heard that they're dependable and have the zerks. Do some searching on this site and there's lots of reading. Hope that helps.
