On my way out of work today my truck started to shake and run ruff, blow lots of black and had no power and the engine light came on. I got off to the side of the road and I thought it acted alot like a gas job with water in the gas so I added some injector cleaner/water treatment for winter driving. The smoke cleared up but still ran ruff, when I stoped I tried to check the read out but nothing came up but the engine light was still on. When I came out from having a beer it started good, the engine light was off and was fine all the way home. 100km.

Any idea whats going on?

Did you get fuel from a different place? How long have you been running this fuel?

I got the fuel from a new shop but I had already ran half a tank by this time.

If you ran half a tank I would rule out the fuel. Without knowing what the DTC was it is hard to say what happened. You should also fill out your signature with truck info. It will help with diagnosing this or other problems.

Ill be following this one with similar issues. Has your check engine light come on? Did it throw any codes?
