How bad will a 30' foot pintle trailer haul with a 2500# camper on the first 14ft(overhang over the hitch) and 5000# Jeep behind it?

Trailer is rated for 24,000# and would be pulled by a dually.

I'm guessing the stock factory hitch wouldn't like that too much....

Never mind, it has occurred to me that a trailer rated for 24,000# is going to be one big a$$ heavy trailer, overkill for my needs and more weight than I want to pull on a tag. Scrap that idea.

Need to stop holding my farts in.......

Agreed. And usually the pintle won't matter. That's just the attatchment method. What will matter the most is weight distribution and capacities and abilities of trailer and tow vehicle, and most importantly, driver ability and experience.

Yes except that you can't use a W/D hitch with a pintle which makes a big difference on something with a heavy tongue weight.

Unfortunatly everybody thinks they are good driver, what's more important is having the wisdom to look at a setup and make a judgement call on wether its good or bad, not overlook it by thinking you can compensate for it cause you are an experienced driver.

you do not need a w/d hitch the pintle will work and with the factory reciever you just have to ballance the load on the trailer as to not get excessive tung weight because of the camper. we haul 2x gvwr with one of our pintle hitch trailers with no trailer breaks , for thirty years , but we know how , as i get older i like easer, your remark about wisdom is correct , think about a 5th wheel toy hauler or some other combo
