My back up lights have been out for some time now. could any one suggest what might be the problem. I am thinking maybe the switch on the tranny. Any help would be appreciated. This site rules.

You could do like I did. Go to an auto parts store (or where ever) and pick up a set of fog or driving lights and mount them on the back of your truck. I put a switch in next to my O/D switch and now I have decent back up lights.
Tom

Mine went out @ 155k and yes it was the trans switch. Easy 10 minute job. The back up lights are like dim flashlights so I put halogen driving lights with a rocker switch in the glove box..great for backing in the trailer.

Mike

An excellent back up light system is the White Night. Mounts around the stock hitch (you can see the set up in my photo album under Aktravler's Toys). They can come on when you shift into reverse , totally switched off or manually switched on right at the rear. Great light out-put, and look sharp. We ordered ours out of Geno's, $87.95.
