Question Back seat light

Anyone know why the rear seat courtesy light only works when it feels like it? Sometimes it works when any door is open most times not. Sometimes it works with the dash switch most times not. ????

Sounds like loose wiring. Is it possible that your sunroof mechanism is causing it?

broken wiring in the door near the hinges, usual culprit is drv side rear door, pull back the boot and inspect wiring

Does anyone have a pic of the center light?? I'm trying to come up with Rear seat only map-lights... Mainly so my daughter can read in the back seat while I drive without the center light blinding me. I have the ST base model so it's just a single light in the middle. I'd gladly re-wire, or whatever needed if there's a housing that's already available.

so just remove the bulb from the front dome lite, that way the rear can be left on, or get the daughter a hand held or one of the clip on book lights they would be best as they direct light on the book and provide little to no distraction to the driver

O.K. I think I've fixed it. Removed light from headliner and found wire plug not making good contact. Slightly bent metal contacts inside plug. Now it fits tight and light works with every door and dash switch.
