Back on the road

Well after two months of working on the weekends and after work the tank is back on the road. New to me core support and passenger side fender, grill and grill inserts, and a front axle rebuild, bumper and all the other little parts that where damaged in the crash. But it's back on the road now and running great. Thanks to everyone on here that helped along the way.*

Nice work! Always nice to get it back on the road even if it's only down for a couple of days! Where did you get those grill inserts? Did they come with the grill?

Glad to see you got it back on the road. Guess insurance didn't cover it?

Great you found a fender that was the same color as the one that got damaged. And is that one of those grilles of E-bay that comes complete with the inserts already formed into the grille?

I can see that you did a ton of work to get it back on the road, and it looks great...Well done!!

Thanks everyone! The grill was off eBay and it was suppose to be chrome bit there was a mistake and I got the painted one and it was jus the shell with no inserts. I got the inserts off eBay to there billet aluminum inserts and they are made to zip tie to the old insert. But mine where trashed so I used lacing wire to tie them to the grill. The axle was a pain to work on because all the parts where 20 years old lol but slot of sweat and busted nukles and I got it done.
And the insurance did cover it I just did the work myself to save some money lol

Thanks again

Jim

Are those the Mr. Grill inserts. I have a set, and love how they look, but I think they restricted airflow quite a bit. Of course this was before I installed a new fan clutch. Can you let me know if you have any problems with cooling or with AC? Thanks!

No i don't have any problems with cooling.... i cant tell you about the AC because i had to break the seal on my 20 year old AC charge so that's not working . The inserts where made to zip-tie to the old inserts but i don't have them anymore so i just wire tired the in place and it looks awesome
