I ordered several axles and axle sets and the measure they wanted was "hub face to hub face" and "center to center of springs.
If you plan on building a trailer or changing axles on an existing trailer I would suggest Southwestwheel.com.

axle lenght
sorry guys i didnt make my self clear. i want to change my 9.25 diff. small bolt pattern to the larger pattern by just changing axles and drums. i think i can but need to know how to measure lenght of each axle flange to spline end.
