I thinking of adding a aux. fuel tank to my Mega please post pro/con on: in the frame tanks or in the bed tanks. I would prefer to leave the bed open. With the 5th wheel hitch in and the trailer on I don't have much room.

Also is it possabile to hook the "in the bed tank to you exisisting tank so it drawn off of one tank. Any suggestions would be helpfull thanks in advance.

I've known some to hook their inbed tank to the main tank by running a line from the drain bung on the aux to the vent line on the main tank. Look inside your fender where the filler neck is, you will see 2 lines, the large one is the main fill the small one is the tank vent for while your filling the tank. Cut and put a T in that line to go to the drain bung.

You can buy fuel tanks on line or have a local welding shop make one for you to your specifications. This time of year they are looking for work and might give a better price, at least in my area that's the case.

I believe it is illegal to connect an auxilary tank in to your main tank for 2 reasons. Aux tanks are not DOT approved as a transfer tank, and a gravity fed fuel system is illegal. If you want to do this, you need to look into a DOT approved transfer tank that controls the flow of fuel from the transfer tank to your OEM tank if this is the way you want to go.

My advice for you is to look into a larger tank under the vehicle. There are tanks available in the 50-60 gallon range. You already mentioned the major con of an Aux tank - bed space.
