aux fuel tank kit install

I just purchased a 100 gal better built tank, has any one had problems with the check valve at the fill hose sticking open and over filling?

There must be a vent on top of the stock tank. If I leave mine open and it sits for a day or so I get a small drip from the stock tank.

I have never had mine not shut off, but I usually stick close by it - - I don't want it all the way full. I stop about three gallons short of full to prevent slopping out the vent. But, the fill will shut off without a problem.

Hi Ramyes,

I am assuming that you have an aux tank and if you leave the gravity feed open for a day or two the stock tank will start to leak. This happen to me once( after two years of leaving the valve open) but I could not find were the leaking was coming from. Maybe the canister gasket or perhaps out the vent. Could you locate your leak?

Now days I have just been leaving the manual valve closed and open the valve when needed.

Very small leak.

Its best to use a shut off valve, mine leaked all the time. Most aux tanks will hold pressure, usually around 2psi, then a little bit more pressure from gravity and you have the factory tank constantly overfull with pressure on it to boot. The rollover valves dont take much to leak, at least mine didnt. I am using a solenoid valve on mine so I just have to flip a switch to fill the tank.
