AutoMeter Gauges
Anyone running the ultra lite autometer fuel pressure gauge? It's the last on that I need to install on the apillar, and was curious which one would be better, the 0-15psi or the 0-100psi?

Got a 0-30 psi on my column. I went with the 0-30 instead because my FASS goes higher than 15 PSI. Make sure you add a line snubber or you will go through guage after guage due to the spikes from the fuel system.

I am going to have to read up on installing it, as I am going to try and do it myself. Do you still need the line snubber with an electrical gauge? What exactly does it do?

jbevley...yes they do offer a 0-30psi

there is a link to it, its $222 from summit tho. i installed the autometer electrical fuel pressure on my truck but mine is the phantom style. i did not use a snubber and mine works just fine and doesnt fluctuate. with the big line kit i see 13psi idle and 12psi cruise, never seen less than 10psi WOT...if you see more than 15 with the FASS it works great, but my fass doesnt go over 15 anyway but i still got the 0-30

I have a Autometer 4360 electrical. I ran a 2' hose from my vp 44 to a snubber then to the autometer sender to lower the pulsating to the sender which stops your guage from bouncing around the pressures. Autometer will supply you with a snubber if you ask them. The snubber is nowhere to be found on the website but parts will send you one... The 100 PSI guage needle doesn't move very much so it doesnt fit in with my other guages(Not As Cool) as i borrowed my buddies before i got my 30 PSI.

On the link you sent me it says..."This gauge is not designed for use on a Dodge diesel." Wonder why that is??? That is probably the one I will use anyways.

That is for any autometer guage but the tech's at Autometer tell you to put in a snubber and life will be good.. Been running mine for 2 years with not a lick of problems. Install and enjoy saving you vp 44.

jbevly,
You need to get the 0-30 PSI design, they work well and we haven't had any problems with them at all. You can also get their mechanical style and add an isolator if you prefer.

I have had my Autometer Ultralite 0-30psi electric gauge in for about 3 months now.
I put in a needle valve and rubber line before the sending unit and it works smooth, no pulses and no problems.
The reason Autometer tells you that is to CTA because USUALLY unless you install a snubber or valve or both the pulses from the VP can wipe out a fuel pressure gauge electric or mechanical.
If you need info about the valve and rubber line let me know.

jbevly, geno's garage has the cap you are talking about. Go to genosgarage.com and its in the dodge cummins section under Gauge Related, its called a billet fuel filter cap. I hope this helps.
