Auto trans rebuilding
With 200,00km on the clock, I am starting to think about my transmission. Some previous threads have lead me to believe that doing my own rebuild is more than possible. Do I need to purchase the factory manual or will an ATSG manual for the 47re be sufficient? I have searched around and have not been able to find a teardown video on the 47re. I found a 727 teardown video (only 30$ or so), would that be worth my while? I am a highschool shop teacher, actually looking forward to some auto tranny learning!
Thanks

The 47RE isn't very difficult to rebuild. There are a couple of special tools that are needed, though. I have both the FSM and the ATSG manual and I think the FSM is by far the better manual. Very thorough.
