AU Flash

The other day I had the G30 done on my 07 and the dealer said the latest flash was the AU that came up on the Starscan I questioned them on it and they said they just had it downloaded.
What does the au flash do and Is this the latest for the 07? is It a good or bad update?

AZ is the latest for the 2007. see the post for the got ar flash it list all the new updates. The new flash deals with net zero and regenerations at lower speeds.

As I understand it, the StarScan tool automatically downloads the latest version of the flash over the Internet. It is not possible to flash an earlier version to the truck because the only one available is the newest.

You most likely got the AZ version, but the dumba** dealer doesn't know it.

Ok I got back from the dealer and I was right I had AU and now I have AZ, apparently the g30 calls for only the AU and no higher unless their was a problem. I had 2 stored codes after the G30 and I knew my truck wasn't running right after the recall was completed, hopefully the AZ fixed the problem
Does anyone have a copy of the documentation kit lituature the dealer did not and they never heard of it surprise surprise.

it doesn't "automatically" down load the latest version. You actually have to manually "search" and it will show if there are updates......dumba**!!

...Also, at times, the scanners have to be updated themselves in order to receive the newer updates.

Hey J BODY what's the easiest way to tell if an ECM was replaced by the dealer?

Easiest?......I'm thinking pulling the vin up and seeing what repairs were made and where. Any warranty repair will be logged along with an operations code that will tell if the ECM was flashed, or replaced.
