So as the title says I have the Atwood water heater in my rv that I stay in during the work week. I have been having a water leak under the sink and it is coming from the back of the water tank. All the water lines for this are up front as they should and neither one of the hot water out or cold water lines have a leak and nor does the faucet and sinks. Now after some digging I found the manual for the heater form 1987 if you can believe that. Any way the pressure relief valve on the out side of the heater that has a drain hose on it was completely blocked and blew off when I let the pressure out of the full tank. Would these be the cause of my leak if the hose was blocked and not allowing the pressure to escape? or does my tank have a whole in it from years of vibrating on the floor? I got the hose fixed and cranked open the hot water line and let the water run for a good while no more blockage? There does not appear to be any water lines or nothing in the back they were smart and put them all up front for good access.

Could go ether way I had a 1983 TT and had to replace the tank , hydrogen sulfide built up had eaten holes in the top of the tank.
I also have a 1990 model that I use for hunting and the pop off valve was stopped up after cleaning everything up no more leaks. But the reason the pop off was leaking is that the pressure was getting to high because the flame was staying on to long …. The temp regulator was going bad.

There must be an air gap in your water heater. Over time, the air gets absorbed into the water, and you loose it. Those valves may weep a bit if it's not. I suggest completely draining it, the refilling it and see if that fixes your leak. On rv boards, there's plenty of happy folks saying this fixed their leak.

Ditto that. You have to have air in the top of the tank. It goes away if you bleed water out of the pressure valve, and then it will seep.

Shut it off, let it cool enough to not burn you, turn the water off and a hot tap on, and open the drain plug or the annode rod and let some water out.

Turn the water supply back on, and bleed the extra air out of the tap.

I'd bet that stops your pressure relief valve leak.

Make sure it's your water heater leaking. I thought mine was once, and it turned out to be roof leak that ended up there.
