I unplugged my V5 yesterday to try to diagnose what was going wrong with my truck. Somehow I lost the daggone little purple gasket thing on the end of the plug, where it plugs into the map sensor. Now it won't connect right, and my truck runs like crap. Called VanAaken, had to order a set of adapter plugs, $50. So be careful with the little purple gasket deals, they're important.

The guy at vanaaken was really helpful, and nice. He explained that they couldn't just sell the purple thing alone, and I understand. I didn't think to come on here first and see if anyone with a 98.5-02 had the adapter kit that came with it that they didn't need.
