ATS trannys?

Whats the word on these guys? Are they legit? Who likes ATS trannys? Should I get Goerend or ATS, or Sun Coast?

Generally I would't touch this with a 10 ft pole but what the heck..

Is ATS legit? Yes, but it depends on who you ask. Alot of guys like them alot of guys dont. However I've never really heard a good reason why some dont. I know of 2 DTR's highly respectable guys (JohnP and Madhat) that seem too realy like them. I say between ATS, Goerends, DTT, and Sun Coast you cant go wrong.. If it were me I would spend alot of time on the phone with all of them before making my final decision.

My ATS is great. Nine months after I installed it they actually called to ask how it was working. Not bad customer service, eh? I'm not easy on my truck, either.

I have had zero problems with mine, and I drive with about 600 daily.

I would reccomend finding who is the closest big dealer near you, so that if there is a problem, you don't have to ship it across the country.

Dave Goerends is the only one who will answer his phone on Saturday when you have a problem.
When the time comes it will be Goerends hands down.

Ive heard good things about Them. I gotta look around my area, but Inglewood would be a fun road trip.

I read awhile back about a guy that had an ATS tranny that went out, or sumthing like that, and he had a local guy look at it and when he cracked open the case some things were not right and ATS didn't warranty them. Is that true, and if so why would that be the case(no pun intended)?

I heard about this also and am curious too. Im sure ATS is just trying to cover there butt like the automakers are anymore. with the shape of the economy cant say i blame anyone. If you were to get one of their trans and it happened to fail and there wasnt a authorized ATS dealer around CALL THEM before you take it to a local shop and get approval first.
