ATS 48 Re

Since i was unable to get any help when i posted in the Help Forum i figure i would post my issues here as well. A couple days ago i let someone else dive my truck and he ended up tearing it up AGAIN.. the Trans shifted fine until it was time for overdrive. I thought it may just me a Shift silenoid in the vb or a broken overdrive spring. I took it to the local Trannny shop where the owner had build trans for drag cars and such so i figure he knows what he was talking about.
I get the call this morning that he had droped the pan and it was full of metal and the whole trans would need to be replaced. Said he could build me one that would be stron
ger and cheaper than the ATS i had. Was wondering if replacing the whole thing would be Justified. I don't see how it would shift fine threw 4 gears except Ovrdrive and need to be completely replaced. I have no idea and I am away from how working in Oklahoma and have no way to get it to a good Diesel shop.

Any Ideas are appreciated..

If you could PM or call me, 1-800-949-6002 ext 128. An 07 truck should have warranty left on the transmission. I would be more than willing to work with the shop it is at now to help in any manner I can.

Welcome to the Forum.

Now that's a good reply. Will make me want to look at an ATS Tranny or parts!
